Wedding guests can share photos through a web browser without installing an app. In Eventringo, you can also allow account-free guest entry with a display name, or choose to require sign-in.
Those are two different choices. “No app” describes how someone opens the product; “no account” describes the access mode. Your invitation should accurately explain both.
What a browser-based flow looks like
A guest scans your event QR code or opens the link, joins the event and chooses photos from their phone to submit. They stay in the browser rather than visiting an app store.
The flow still needs an internet connection. Test it on the kind of phone and venue connection your guests will use. A browser entry reduces installation steps, but it does not remove every step.
Choose guest access or sign-in deliberately
For account-free entry, enable guest access and explain that guests will enter a display name. If you require sign-in instead, state that alongside the QR code or in your message.
Try joining from a device that is not already in your organizer session. This confirms what a first-time guest actually sees and avoids assuming your own signed-in experience is theirs.
Check uploads, approval and downloads
Enable ordinary gallery uploads if you want free-form wedding photos. Photo Bingo submissions are a separate activity with their own prompts; you do not have to run a game to collect a gallery.
Choose whether photos need approval and whether guest downloads are available. If uploads wait for review, explain why a guest’s picture may not appear immediately.
Be precise about what you can collect
Eventringo’s current upload flow accepts photos. If you want guest videos as well, provide another destination and clearly label what belongs where.
Capacity, storage and duration depend on your event plan. Link guests to the event entry, and check the current pricing and event expiry details yourself before promising unlimited participation or permanent storage.
A short invitation and a complete test
For guest access, try: “No app needed. Scan to open our wedding event, enter your name and add a few favourite photos.” For sign-in access, replace the middle step with the sign-in instruction.
Test the sequence below before printing cards. After the wedding, send the ordinary link for guests uploading from the same phone they use to read your message.
- Open the QR entry on a separate phone
- Check the guest access instruction
- Submit a test photo
- Confirm any pending approval state
- Review gallery and download visibility
- Save the direct link for the follow-up
